KATE SPADE MY NEW OBSESSION

I know I'm on a fashion diet but it doesn't hurt to lust, I mean look. Kate Spade has some of the most beautiful, simple, chic and classic shoes right now. Why oh why do they all have to be 300.00 and up! Ugh! But this is what I have been preaching about. I could buy several Kate Spade shoes and handbags or one Chanel 2.55 like I've been dreaming of. Which is the smarter use of 2500.00 dollars? How many chances will I get to wear all these high heal shoes. The bag I can use every day. Hmmm. Kate Spade Licorice 298.00

These next images are from the Kate Spade spring 2011 collection. I DIE!

Bright Evangeline 395.00

Tipsy flat 198.00

Kaleidoscope necklace 298.00

I don't know what this is but I will own it! I can not resist a hot pink shot of color! I love
the Chanel feel to it! Why do you torture me!

I will own this too! Its cheeky color on a very utilitarian shape cross body is sooo Good!
Scout 395.00

It also comes in this yummy coral color and an acid green I liked too.
This one is the small Scout, 295.00

Need I say more? Tweed Robin 245.00
Must!!

I also have been lusting over these shoes for a while although I doubt I will buy them. I have to
save my money for all those purses!
Licorice 298.00

If I were to buy one it would be these.
Casie 298.00

I love a nude shoe.

Chariot 398.00

I through these LAMB shoes in for good measure. Love these too. but a bit too high for my life style. How often will I wear them and at 398.00 I'd rather have one of Kate purses.

BALENCIAGA BINGE!

As I posted earlier I went to London on holiday and while I was there I got really, really, I mean really sick. I missed an entire 70 degree day of shopping and high tea at a super fancy hotel with a friend of mine! I was soo sick that I didn't care. I could barely get off the bathroom floor. The next morning when some of the nausea had faded, I still didn't want to move off the bed but I forced my self to get up and get out! It was my last day in London and I only had a few hours to my self for sight seeing( well visiting all the stores I have read about). I, at this point, was relieved that I hadn't bought much in London. So in a weak and dehydrated state I headed for Selfridge's department store.
That was a big Mistake! This is what happens when you should be in bed recovering-your not right in the head!
I suddenly thought I was rich and bought a pair of Balenciaga wedges!
But when I tried them on they made me feel soo much better.I was totally high! And it was late in the day and I hadn't eaten for over 24hours and the Selfridge shoe department is legendary and there was all these beautiful chic women buying shoes all around me. I just got caught up in the glamour of it all!
But they really are beautiful! And after my husband's face returned to its original color, I don't regret the purchase. In fact I am so glad I have such an amazing souvenir to remember London.
I have worn them here and strangers were coming up to complement my shoes.

This goes back to the quality and not quantity thing. These shoes are so special and wearable
they make a Target t shirt and jeans look amazing yet effortless.

super comfortable too.

Next, I had been watching these Balenciaga "lego" shoes on ebay for a while and snatched
them up before they were gone. I paid 170.00 for them and I think they must have retailed for at least 600.00 or more a few years ago. They are real attention grabbers! Not real comfortable though but with a few inserts they should be fine for a party.
These count on my fashion diet, quality and luxury high horse thing I'm on, right?

NEXT,but not last...

These are the Nine West pony hair leopard pumps I got a Nordstroms. They are not on
my fashion budget. I used a 20.00 nordstroms note to bring the price down to 60.00 so not to bad of a slip. Besides the ones I really want and are waiting to go on sale are by LAMB. They are leopard too but are more night time and much higher.

BALENCIAGA MOTORCYCLE JACKET; CHECK!

I have longed for this Balenciaga motorcycle jacket since the first time I saw it on
all of those lucky, lucky fashion editors. This version shown above, with bright silver zippers, is
the one I really wanted but by the time I came to my spending senses it has been sold out for many years. I could have bought this back then if I had just stopped spending my money on clothes that I don't even remember a few years ago and I could have made my jacket lust into a reality.
The truth is I didn't even think that a "commoner" like my self could even buy one of these. I thought you had to be on some secret waiting list and if you were not an elite member of the fashion society your name went to the bottom.
So many years later I have realized that quality is so much more rewarding than quantity. This is not a new concept, we've been reading it for years in fashion articles, it just took some time to sink in. And its not easy to stop buying tons of stuff and save for that one well made special item that you know will last a life time and not just get thrown out a few years later. Its been hard, so many shiny new things have caused me to fall off the wagon.
So my first item on my dream list is a Balenciaga motorcycle jacket. No it does not have the exact zippers that I wanted but I got it from a very reputable seller on ebay and I saved 600.00.
I love this jacket so much that I would have liked any zipper color on it. And I did I mention I saved 600.00. I could buy the Louis Vuitton scarf that's on my list and have money left over for a pair of Kate Spade shoes!

The dream is finally a reality! I just wanted to say I that I had to sell a ton of clothes,
jewelry, handbags, and shoes to help pay for this. Not to mention the garage sale I had over the summer! It was totally worth it. The short term "high" I got from a new purchase would some times quickly fade but with this I feel the "high" every time I put it on! I have been collecting leather jackets for years but I'm not sure I will be reaching for them any more.
They all seem so....Ordinary.

I love, love this look and have admire it often. Its just so simple but so chic! The Balenciaga jacket totally makes this look and her beauty! Oh and I love the big glamours earrings too.
Target t shirt
Abercrombie jeans
my new Nine West leopard pumps
I would like to own this khaki color too. I will be looking for one on ebay, preferably with the
black zippers.

I'M BACK.....SORT OF...

I know I've been MIA since getting back from London. Sorry, but I have been really busy getting back into a routine and have not been inspired to blog. I haven't even down loaded the pictures from my trip yet! So I put these picks up until I get them loaded.
I went to Nordstroms today to buy these Nine West leopard pumps I have been thinking about. They were out of my size so I had to order them, which is why I am not showing them off in these pictures.
This is what I wore today. I really like this outfit and I wore my old leopard Steve Madden
leopard print flats. This blazer is a really old Bebe Burgundy velvet blazer that I got on Ebay
a few years ago. It just goes to show you that the military look always looks smart and I will never stop wearing it! These are the J Crew black crop skinny zipper jeans from a few seasons back they give a bit of edge to this look. While I was in London I got really, really sick and lost about 3 pounds! plus we didn't eat a lot while we were there anyway so I have lost about 5 pounds in all and now these J Crew jeans fit soo much better! I don't feel like I'm wearing a tourniquet!
shirt is from Aritiza

These look so good with the outfit above. Very 1960's Mad Men! Meow! I'll show you when
they arrive. They look much better in person! And such a great price, 79.00 and I used my nordstroms notes to bring down the price as well. so I still stay on my shopping diet. ( don't roll your eyes:0)

I got this new t-shirt from Urban Outfitters. I was messing around with it and different jackets. I like it's black and white graphics and slouchy fit.

pair it with a more lady like jacket.

forever 21 blazer

Or a saucy blazer.

Rachel Roy blazer

LONDON CALLING

I am off to London for vacation this Friday and thought I might put some outfits together before I go. With that damn weight limit on luggage I have to make sure everything goes with every thing else. And to top it off I want to take everything! Not to mention the weather. I have a feeling it is similar to Oregon. One minute its raining and the next sunny and hot! Travel this time of year makes packing a little more tricky. Also I don't really know what I will be doing from one minuet to the next when I'm there. I want to look not too fancy for sight seeing but fancy enough to go out to dinner.

Oh and I am wearing a hat in these pics. because I am in desperate need of a haircut and color and I have no makeup on. I have been dieing to wear this J Crew skirt from last season. I tried it with my new The Shirt and a gap belt. I would wear this for a day of shopping. Not sure what shoes to wear for all that walking around? I want to wear heels but I know I won't last all day so I need a cute flat alternative to change into later in the day or three minuets after I'm out the door.
With my J Crew moto boots. I can only take one handbag and it must be big enough to carry extra layers, shoes, band-aids,umbrella ect...This one by Dolce and Gabbana is the most durable and water resistant of all my handbags.

with an American Apparel shirt and old sandals.

with my new furry vest by LaRok.

My new J Crew sequin sweatshirt( bought before my fashion diet) vintage levis, Calvin Klein shoes.

The Shirt, Loft pants, Cavin Klein shoes, Silpada necklace.

I bought this trench from Loft in June or July. I can never have to many variations of the trench coat. Especially at my age. If there is ever a place to wear a classic trench it's London.

For a more fashionista look I paired it with a very old J Crew hoodie that came with a real fur hood. The fur collar makes it look so much more expensive and glamours, no?

Next some wrinkle free packables. Elizabeth and James rayon slouchy blazer thingy, American Apparel shirt, Unknown Factory jeans, payless boots.

Or with a pair of Textile flare hippie jeans aka. Rachel Zoe.

MORE FALL HITS AND MISSES

I had posted earlier about my Madewell fall wants. I received some yesterday and here is my review. This is the slip dress. It is very versatile and can go soo many ways! I love the floral print. I pared it with a big belt for a festival look.
Next with the new Madewell blazer.

And one more look although I could put so many more together, the J Crew army coat and vintage jean vest. I love this dress because of its endless possibilities and its versatile color palate but its flouncy hem, loose open fit is just too young for me.
So sad, it goes back.

Next I ordered the Madewell perfect chambray shirt. Love it! But its too big so I had to order an
extra small but this will be a keeper. I love the pale blue color and when you roll up the sleeves it has a slightly darker blue reverse. I ordered it to complete my Christene Centenera look.
Almost finished, just need to buy the Louis Vuitton scarf and some heels. I found a pair from Kate Spade that will look great!

Pared mine with some old J Crew satin peep toes. Wish they would make that shoe again!

I tried it with a pair of Loft khakis, J Crew mens belt and some loud print Betsy Johnson shoes for
a punch.
